The Guilt in The Locust's Manor

One of the three monsters the lobby lets the host pick. This page covers what it is, what brings it onto you during a Forest run, and what got one recorded run out alive.

The short answer: a one-touch hunter that arrives after noise

The Guilt is a pale, very tall humanoid that patrols the map and kills your run on contact. In the recording this page is built on — a 2026-09-08 Forest run published by Vitinnn — it appears in the trees, charges once, and ends the run within seconds of a failed generator repair. The death screen names it: “YOU DIED / THE GUILT / RESPAWN IN 1”.

It is also a Doctor Nowhere creature, taken from his short video “the boy and the bath”. The origin and the rest of the lobby roster are on the Doctor Nowhere page; this page stays on what happens during a round.

On screen

Three things the recording shows about it

Read from the footage rather than from a wiki: appearance, warning, and what ends the run.

OBSERVED

What it looks like

A pale, thin humanoid, taller than a doorway, with a hollow open face. In the 2026-09-08 Forest recording it shows up standing between the trees, then mid-charge, with nothing between the sighting and the contact.

OBSERVED

How you know it is close

The edges of the screen pulse dark red and a roar plays before contact. That red vignette is the only warning the recording shows; there is no music cue and no chasing sound effect that starts earlier.

OBSERVED

What ends the run

One touch. The recording's only death is a contact kill, and the death screen then prints YOU DIED, the name THE GUILT, and a RESPAWN IN countdown.

Run order

What actually keeps you out of its hands

The Forest objective is POWER UP THE GENERATORS: five fuel, five repairs, then RUN TO THE EXIT. The Guilt is the reason each of those steps has a cost.

STEP 01

Do not miss the red zone with the monster nearby

The cable step is the noisy one. A missed stop made the generator throw sparks and sound an alarm in the recording, and the hunt started seconds later. Fix the cables when you have space to run, not in a corner.

STEP 02

Break sideways, not backwards

When it charged down the path at 03:30, the player left the path into the trees and kept sprinting, and the chase ended. Running along the same path keeps you in its line for longer.

STEP 03

Save stamina for the chase, not the search

Sprinting drains the segmented stamina bar in the lower left corner. The run only survives because there is stamina left when the charge begins, so walking between generators is what pays for the escape.

STEP 04

Expect the counters to reset when you die

After the death in this single-player run, the respawn put the player back at the gate with FUELED 0/5 and REPAIRED 0/5. Every fuelled generator is lost with you, which is why the failure at step 1 costs more than the minigame itself.

[WHERE THIS COMES FROM]

All four steps are read from one public Forest recording, not from a developer note. Fuel cans were pulled from the trunks of abandoned cars. FUELED and REPAIRED are two separate counters on the same five generators — the recording repaired one generator that had not been fuelled, and both counters still had to finish. The cable step is the CONNECT THE CABLES timing input with a red zone to stop in, and the exit gate opened into RUN TO THE EXIT once the counters were done. The same objective counters are listed for every map on the maps reference.

Boundaries

What this page cannot tell you

Three gaps that would change how you play, and that no source checked on 2026-10-24 closes.

Which maps allow it

The lobby lets the host pick a monster, and the Guilt is on that list. The only round checked here was on Forest, and no source states a restriction or a full pairing table.

Whether hiding works

Closets and cabinets matter on the Manor, Backrooms and The End runs against The Locust. The Forest run has no hiding spot shown, so no hiding advice is given for the Guilt.

What difficulty changes

Higher difficulties exist — the badge list includes Complete In Impossible Mode — but the only lobby read for this site showed NORMAL. Speed, aggro range and kill rules at other settings remain unconfirmed.

FAQ

Questions about the Guilt

What is the Guilt in The Locust's Manor?

It is one of the three monsters the create-lobby screen offers (THE LOCUST, THE BOILED ONE, THE GUILT), read from the lobby in a 2026-09-06 recording. In the game it is a tall, pale humanoid that kills on contact. Its source is Doctor Nowhere's short video "the boy and the bath".

Which map does the Guilt appear on?

The recording analysed here is a Forest run with the Guilt as the hunting monster: five generators to fuel and repair, then RUN TO THE EXIT. Whether the host can pair the Guilt with every other map is not confirmed by any source checked on 2026-10-24, so this site does not say it is Forest-only.

Does failing the generator minigame summon the Guilt?

In the 2026-09-08 recording, a missed stop in CONNECT THE CABLES made the generator spark and sound an alarm, the red vignette appeared seconds later, and the Guilt killed the player. That is the order the footage shows, not a published rule, so treat noise as a risk rather than a guaranteed spawn.

Can you hide from the Guilt?

No recording checked here shows a hiding place on the Forest map. What the footage does show is a successful escape by sprinting off the path into trees, so movement away from its line is the only tactic with evidence behind it.

Does difficulty change the Guilt?

The Roblox badge list includes "Complete In Impossible Mode", so higher difficulties exist, and the 2026-10-17 lobby recording shows NORMAL selected. What changes for the Guilt at higher difficulty is not shown in any recording checked here and is left unconfirmed.

Where to go from here

If the Guilt is not the monster in your lobby, the other two have their own pages and sources.
